  3. As of a July 1, 2026 fee revision — Japan's first since 1978, roughly a fivefold increase — the visa fee is ¥15,000 for single entry or ¥30,000 for multiple entry. Processing itself isn't tightly published as a specific number of days; the real bottleneck tends to be gathering the required income documentation, not the embassy's own review time.
