Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa: Requirements
What you need to qualify for the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa — income, documents, and the fine print that trips people up.
Cyprus offers a dedicated Digital Nomad Visa with EU membership but, notably, not Schengen membership — a distinction that matters for how you plan onward travel and how the visa interacts with the rest of your European stays.
Requires proof of remote employment or freelance income above a published threshold, plus standard documentation. As of 2026, that's €3,500/month net income, whether you're an employee or self-employed — income must come entirely from abroad, since working for Cypriot companies or clients under this visa is prohibited.
Because Cyprus isn't in Schengen, time spent there doesn't count against your 90-day Schengen allowance the way time in Portugal or Spain would — a genuine practical advantage if you're also spending time elsewhere in Europe on a tourist basis.
- Proof of remote income — €3,500/month net as of 2026, documented via 6 months of payslips or bank statements
- Valid passport
- Health insurance valid in Cyprus
- Clean criminal record
