Thailand Destination Thailand Visa (DTV): Application Process
Step by step through the Thailand Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) application, from first document to approval.
Verified Aug 2026 · Thai embassy DTV financial requirements and current LTR/BOI criteria
- Apply through the Thai e-visa portal or a Thai embassy/consulate, depending on your location.
- Submit proof of remote work and financial documents electronically or in person, depending on the application route.
- Once approved, the DTV is a 5-year multiple-entry visa allowing stays of up to 180 days per entry, with one possible extension to 360 days total per entry — though that extension is reportedly denied often enough in practice that planning around a border run or re-entry every 180 days is the safer assumption.
