Croatia Digital Nomad Residence Permit: Renewal

As of a March 2025 legal change, the permit is issued for up to 18 months in a single grant (replacing an older 12-month-plus-extension structure) — and it genuinely cannot be renewed consecutively. You need to leave Croatia for at least 6 months before reapplying. There's no path from this permit to permanent residency; it's designed as a temporary stay, not a long-term one, which is a real structural difference from Portugal's or Mexico's paths toward permanent status.
